What You’ll Do:

As the Senior Quality Control Specialist, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our private-label collections meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will manage all testing, inspections, and certification processes, working closely with internal teams, factories, and retailers to ensure that every garment we produce upholds RDG’s reputation for excellence. This is a key role that involves problem-solving, cross-team collaboration, and ensuring consistency and quality across our products.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Oversee all private label testing for customers, including reviewing test reports, securing overrides, approving care labels, and managing certificates of compliance (GCC).
• Lead quality control testing for children’s apparel, reviewing reports, ensuring care labels are approved, and certifying compliance with relevant standards.
• Manage testing and inspection for RDG licensing brands purchased by private label customers, ensuring quality standards are adhered to.
• Collaborate with retailer QA teams to troubleshoot issues, request overrides, and ensure testing requirements are met.
• Coordinate with vendors to schedule and monitor private label garment inspections, utilizing platforms like “Inspectorio” and “PLM.”
• Review and distribute inspection reports to factories and internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Assist with compliance responsibilities, such as ZDHC, HIGG Index, and supporting tasks like maintaining matrices and completing Bill of Materials (BOM) for clients like Kohl’s.
• Organize and maintain all private inspection reports and care label layouts on the RDG shared drive.
• Regularly update and track testing and inspection logs to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed based on business demands and evolving retailer requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Expertise in Quality Control: 6+ years of extensive experience in reviewing and analyzing test reports, identifying issues, and working with vendors to implement corrective actions.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to carefully review care instructions and ensure accuracy in care label approvals.
• Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Team Player: Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on problem-solving and delivering solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Excel and familiar with industry-specific testing terminology and procedures.
• Commitment to Quality: Ability to review retailers’ vendor manuals and extract testing and inspection requirements respective to the customer to share with vendors.
• Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
