Job Description

2nd Shift (2pm to 10pm)

• Set up and operate bindery equipment, such as cutting, folding, stitching, and binding machines, to process printed materials.
• Review job orders, specifications, and customer requirements to determine the appropriate setup and materials needed for each project.
• Adjust and calibrate machine settings to ensure accurate alignment, appropriate paper handling, and proper finishing of printed materials.
• Monitor production processes to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may affect the quality or efficiency of operations, making adjustments as necessary.
• Inspect printed materials throughout the production process to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments and performing quality checks to maintain consistency.
• Perform routine maintenance on bindery equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
• Collaborate with production teams to coordinate workflow, prioritize jobs, and meet production schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for bindery operations, tracking usage and ordering replacements as necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in bindery technology, and equipment operation techniques to continuously improve efficiency and quality of work.
