The Class A Driver will perform manual lifting and driving responsibilities. This individual will work as part of the team in providing delivery of our products to our smaller warehouses, picking up product from our suppliers, and well as customers working varied shifts as required. This position is full-time working four days a week on third shift.


Principle Responsibilities:

  • Assist or drive all company vehicles (owned or rented) as assigned. This includes: Semi-trailer, Straight/Box Trucks, and Full-size Conversion Van to destinations in the Ohio area or as assigned.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all accounts and suppliers.
  • Keep truck clean inside and out.
  • Follow pre and post trip inspections per the requirements set forth by the DOT.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and reports any discrepancies indicating truck condition to supervisor and fleet coordinator.
  • Must be able to back truck in and out of receiving docks.
  • Maintain check-in sheets and all invoices
  • Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in a random drug and alcohol testing pool.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate with supervisor, current and prospective customers on a professional level and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
  • Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise.
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Must have a Class A unexpired driver's license with a clean DMV record.
  • Ability to read maps/directions and operate GPS units.
  • Must pass DOT medical card
  • Must pass criminal background check, driving record, drug screen and any other information as required by state and federal regulations and by the Company.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend and stoop; and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to fill orders.
  • Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds.
