The Arizona Group is an Arizona-based Independent Insurance Agency and is seeking a career-minded and experienced Commercial Lines Service Manager who resides in the Phoenix Metro Area and can manage our service team.

This is a full-time on-site position for an Agency with less than 100 employees.

  • Full Time - M-F 8:00am - 5:00
  • Salary $125,000 - $175,000

Accountability : Commercial Lines Service Manager

Manages and supervises Commercial Lines service staff to assure employee productivity, efficiency and compliance within job duties and service standards. Responsible for planning, organizing, and resolving any operational service issues. Responsible for maintaining procedures, workflows, and staff training.

Skills/Requirements : Commercial Lines Service Manager

  • Minimum of 10 years of property and casualty insurance experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Supervisory or Managerial Position
  • Direct experience managing people and relationships.
  • Experience in providing workflow auditing and training.
  • Experience with Applied Systems EPIC Agency Management systems required.
  • Experience in creating training programs.
  • Property & Casualty Arizona resident insurance license required.
  • CIC and or CRM Designation is strongly recommended.
  • College undergraduate degree is desired.
  • A high level of technical insurance knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and computing skills.
  • Professionalism in appearance, communication, and treatment of others.

Responsibilities: Commercial Lines Service Manager

  • Manages day-to-day activities of Commercial Lines Service Staff, including scheduling, approving time off and balancing workload.
  • Evaluates, monitors, and maintains current service procedures and workflows
  • Creates and executes training programs and identifies training opportunities for staff.
  • Performs staff audits and regular performance reviews of Commercial Lines staff.
  • Identifies performance issues and provides staff with additional training and feedback.
  • Leads and coordinates monthly Commercial Lines Department meetings.
  • Manages staffing levels based on productivity and revenue goals.
  • Maintains positive Carrier relationships with appropriate company representatives.
  • Assists in interviewing potential candidates for employment within the CL Department.
  • Provides managerial reports to Producers, Account Managers and the Executive Committee as required.
  • Performs CL staff backup assistance when needed.
  • Actively supports department strategy to meet retention and production goals.
  • Ensures high levels of customer service and satisfaction by improving ongoing service delivery methods.
  • Maintains Continuing Education for staff regarding technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques.
  • Aids Producers and/or Commercial Lines staff on technical issues when necessary.
  • Stays current on industry compliance rules and State regulations as it pertains to servicing clients.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by the Executive Committee.
