Job Title: Construction Specialist – EPC Drawing Validation

Position Overview:

Global Edge is seeking an experienced Construction Specialist with a strong background in EPC to support the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stage of a major green methanol production facility. This role will focus on the review and validation of EPC contractor drawings, ensuring early identification of constructability concerns, interdisciplinary alignment, and compliance with design and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings strong field knowledge and a proactive approach to mitigating issues during the early design phase to support a seamless transition to construction execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed validation of EPC design drawings during the FEED stage, ensuring constructability, accuracy, and adherence to industry codes and project specifications.
• Identify and flag potential constructability issues, clashes, and design gaps to reduce rework during the execution phase.
• Work closely with EPC teams, discipline engineers, and construction leads to evaluate the practicality of design concepts and layout configurations.
• Participate in design reviews, model walkthroughs, and drawing review sessions to ensure integration across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical disciplines.
• Contribute to the construction readiness assessment and influence the development of work packages aligned with FEED outputs.
• Support resolution of technical queries and interface with document control teams to track and log design modifications.
• Ensure all drawing validations support safe construction practices and regulatory compliance, particularly in the context of sustainable fuel infrastructure.
• Provide feedback to improve design execution plans and bridge engineering with site conditions and construction methods.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial construction or EPC projects, with at least 3–5 years in FEED or early-stage design environments.
• Strong background in reviewing and validating multi-disciplinary construction drawings.
• Familiarity with green methanol, ammonia, hydrogen, or other sustainable fuel facilities is highly desirable.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, general arrangements, electrical schematics, and structural details.
• Experience with drawing/model review tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, SmartPlant, or AVEVA.
• Knowledge of constructability principles, workface planning, and modular construction approaches.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Preferred Certifications:

• OSHA 30 / Construction Safety Certification
• PMP, AACE, or CCA certification (preferred)
