As a Data Architect at Sanofi, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our Digital transformation through innovative and scalable data architecture solutions. You’ll join the Digital Architecture Center of Excellence team, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to shape global data strategies and enable data-driven decision-making. Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve Sanofi’s enterprise data model, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Partner with domain-specific teams to meet cross-functional and analytical requirements.
  • Advocate for Data Mesh principles, fostering understanding and organizational buy-in across technical and business teams.
  • Design and implement efficient data-sharing patterns to streamline data exchange with minimal dependencies.
  • Establish and promote frameworks for data access, stewardship, and governance to enhance transparency and accountability.
  • Stay ahead of advancements in data architecture, identifying opportunities to improve Sanofi’s data capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in data architecture practices.

About You

  • Proven expertise in designing and managing scalable data architectures, especially in enterprise environments.
  • Strong background in data modeling, taxonomy, and interoperability principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Data and AI tools, including data engineering, master data management, data lakes, data warehouses, data visualization, and machine learning.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data modeling techniques and schema design.
  • Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Informatica), API management, and data exchange protocols (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Knowledge of governance platforms, data quality, lineage tools, and stewardship frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Data Mesh principles and decentralized data architecture frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
