Title: Digital Sales Analyst
Mission:
Utilize analytical tools, POS, and Consumer Data to maximize sales performance on Amazon US . This role focuses on interpreting data, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to improve online sales, with an emphasis on Amazon Vendor Central and Amazon Advertising strategies.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in sales analysis , specifically in the eCommerce space .
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Amazon Vendor Central , and other data platforms.
- Proven experience managing and analyzing data from Amazon Advertising Console (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and DSP).
- Experience working across digital sales channels, including SEO strategies and online advertising .
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into concise business cases and highlight opportunities.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- In-depth knowledge of Amazon business systems , including Vendor Central and Advertising Console .
- Experience developing sales reporting and dashboards with a focus on Amazon performance.
- Ability to optimize Amazon advertising campaigns and assess ROI and ACoS.
- Analytical ability to translate complex data into concise business reports.
- Experience with forecasting processes using historical POS trends and Amazon analytics.
- Self-motivated with the ability to sustain high performance across cross-functional teams.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Key Relationships:
- Reports to: SVP Sales
- Works directly with Sales Team, Demand Planner , and Amazon Advertising specialists.
- Liaise with Paid Media, Digital Team, Amazon Account Managers , and 3rd Party Partners.
Key Result Areas and Activities
1. POS Analysis (35%)
- Communicate and provide recommendations on emerging Amazon POS trends , potential in-stock issues, risks to achieving results, and performance against established KPIs.
- Review replenishment order trends and weekly fill rates on Amazon and assess if they align with the rate of sale.
- Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain to resolve item availability issues and report risks to forecast achievement.
- Own accurate POS reporting and compare it to Amazon’s POS forecast .
- Maintain and update MGA item-level forecast ladders .
2. Amazon Advertising & Digital Media Analysis (30%)
- Analyze performance of Amazon Advertising campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP) and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor and optimize ACoS, TACoS , and other key advertising metrics.
- Participate in weekly meetings focused on Paid Search and Amazon Advertising to assess campaign impact on sales.
- Collaborate with the media team to align advertising efforts with sales performance.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of digital sales campaigns and initiatives .
3. Reporting (20%)
- Analyze MGA’s POS projections vs. Amazon’s actual POS.
- Evaluate results and publish weekly POS and advertising performance recaps with recommendations.
- Develop ad-hoc reporting to support forecast reviews, operations, and executive needs.
- Create and manage dashboards to track Amazon sales, advertising spend, and ROI .
4. Day-to-Day Analysis & Monitoring (15%)
- Monitor Amazon Vendor Central daily/weekly for trends in orders, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
- Compare Amazon’s orders to MGA’s forecast and provide proactive insights.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing digital sales strategies, including pricing, promotions, product placement, and advertising .
- Identify risks and opportunities to sales goals through detailed analysis.
5. Relationships
- Partner with the Sales Team to support the Annual Sales Plan .
- Build strong working relationships with Amazon’s Replenishment Team and communicate weekly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and Amazon’s evolving advertising tools to identify potential opportunities.
