Digital Design Lab Manager

Location: Centerville, UT

Compensation: $80K - $110K

Your Role:

The Digital Design Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a hands-on testing and development lab. This role involves managing and maintaining lab equipment, ensuring reliable network and hardware functionality, supporting engineers with test setups, and optimizing workflows.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage Lab Inventory: Maintain and organize test equipment, ensuring proper calibration and availability.
• Ensure Hardware Functionality: Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, power, and hardware performance issues.
• Configure Networking: Set up and manage switches, routers, and file servers to support lab operations.
• Support Engineers: Assist in procuring, setting up, and optimizing hardware for testing needs.
• Document Lab Activity: Track test units and equipment usage with accurate records and reports.

What You’ll Bring:

• Lab Management Experience: 3+ years overseeing a technical lab or makerspace with hands-on hardware testing.
• Networking Proficiency: Skilled in configuring and maintaining switches, routers, and file servers.
• Organizational Strength: Proven ability to track and manage lab assets and inventory efficiently.
• Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and supporting cross-
• functional teams.
• Technical & Safety Knowledge: Familiar with lab safety standards and best practices, with bonus
• skills in Python scripting, PCB design, FPGA development, and network testing tools.
