To support our growth we’re looking for a Director of Special Events and Event Center Services to join our awesome team!

Working as the Director of Special Events and Event Services you will effectively lead a high-performing, catering events team across a leading high-tech corporate dining account. This role shapes our culinary and hospitality intentions-ensuring world-class service, culinary excellence, and detailed execution that reflects our client’s elevated event standards.

Based on the program’s vision and mission, the Food Team has developed a clearly defined strategy that puts a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, the Responsible Business framework, and Behavioral Economics.

The Catering team exists to support the global Food program and its values both to users, and to the vendor partners.

Role Summary:

Achieve our mission to develop lasting relationships based upon trust and partnership by personalizing each event with passion. This position is responsible for the development and management of relationships with marquee clients who are responsible for hosting special event experiences that support the pursuit and achievement of the business goals and initiatives. The position works directly with sales, event management, operations, conference services, culinary and special event partners.

The position will leverage internal and external resources to support and further develop strategic objectives and strategies in developing special event solutions impacting the entire guest experience and delivering upon a best in class promise. They will interact synergistically with internal and external stakeholders to increase the brand vision while adhering to all company policies and procedures. The position will strive to maintain and nurture relationships with clients, guests, employees and vendors continuing to provide and exceed client and guest satisfaction. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, be a team player, and be able to creatively think and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved with being a successful catering operation. This role will ultimately be responsible for the planning, communication, and execution of all Special Events and Event Center Programs. Utilizing a team for their strengths and actively developing their areas of opportunity. They will act as a primary and/or secondary point of contact for their client as well as internal & external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert for the special events program. Being intimately involved at the client, partner, sales, & operational level.
  • Attend special events and client meetings in crafting special event experiences and solutions and accessing event needs.
  • Consistently deliver high standards of care to existing customers and to promote further business by exceeding customer expectations where possible
  • Contribute to the oversight, creation and management of costs of special events.
  • Lead and initiate consistent outreach/networking/relationship building initiatives with key event stakeholders and influencers.
  • Lead and support short and long term hospitality and culture development initiatives with leadership team through training and implementation as they relate to special events.
  • Maintain, iterate and improve the synergistic processes of communication supporting special events leading the Catering Special Event management team in working with operations, sales and culinary to ensure difference making guest experiences, operational efficiency/excellence and financial accountability in an off-premise environment.
  • Lead research and development of cutting edge catering and guest experience solutions.
  • Support training and development program for line level catering associates working with creative, people operations, safety and learning and development on catering specific skills to elevate the guest and associate experience.
  • Promote a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
  • Treat everyone with professionalism, care and respect fostering a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Communicate with our partner honestly, accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 Years experience in Off-Premise Catering, Convention Services, Banquet, and Hotel Operations
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Software knowledge in Catertrax, Momentus, G-Suite and Excel highly preferred
  • Possesses accuracy, organization and foresight in their approach to their guest needs
