Electrical Estimator - Mid- Level & Senior (Growth Roles)

A fast‑growing, family‑oriented electrical contractor in North Texas is expanding its estimating department and hiring multiple Electrical Estimators, from early‑career to seasoned Senior Estimators (5–10+ years).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for K‑12, municipal, public‑sector, and institutional projects
• Perform full material and labor takeoffs using Accubid (required)
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and RFIs to identify scope gaps, risks, and opportunities
• Develop bid strategies, value‑engineering options, and competitive pricing approaches
• Coordinate with project managers, field leadership, and preconstruction to ensure alignment between estimate and execution
• Build assemblies, labor factors, and custom databases within Accubid when needed
• Maintain historical cost data and apply lessons learned to future bids
• Prepare bid proposals, clarifications, and supporting documentation
• Track and report win ratios , bid volume, and awarded volume
• Present estimates confidently to leadership and GC partners
• Support hard bid, CMAR, and design‑assist pursuits
• Participate in handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from estimating to operations

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience (Mid- Level & Senior)
• 5+ years for Senior Estimator roles
• Accubid proficiency required
• Experience estimating K‑12 required
• Strong understanding of NEC, electrical systems, and construction sequencing
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents with precision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with PMs, field teams, and GC partners
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
• A team‑first mindset and pride in producing high‑quality work
