Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana / Baltimore, Maryland

Job Type: Contract to Permanent

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. This role involves mentoring junior engineers and CAD designers while overseeing General/Physical Layout and Protection & Control aspects of renewable energy and substation design projects.

Electrical Project Engineer: Qualifications/Experience:

• BS in Electrical Engineering required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• 4-9 years of relevant experience in solar, wind, battery storage, substation, and utility interconnection engineering
• Expertise in physical layout design, protection & control systems, SCADA, relay programming, commissioning, and field support

Electrical Project Engineer: Main Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary client point of contact, managing active projects and discussing future business opportunities
• Lead project design efforts, including engineering calculations, software-based design, and adherence to industry standards
• Develop and review technical project documentation, including specifications and bid packages
• Conduct thorough drawing reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist in training and professional development of entry- and mid-level engineers
• Ensure adherence to quality control policies and industry best practices
