Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

• Prepare and annotate detailed variance reports identifying discrepancies and trends

• Collaborate with operational teams to develop supporting financial forecasts and budgets aligned with strategic plans

• Conduct research to evaluate the accounting implications of alternative business approaches

• Perform financial analysis projects including capital versus expense decisions, ROI calculations, resource allocation studies, and budget preparation

• Execute special statistical studies to support business decision-making

• Analyze performance returns for accuracy and communicate findings to investment professionals

• Collect and clean data from various sources while ensuring data quality and integrity

• Manipulate and transform data using SQL, Python, and R for analytical purposes

• Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to perform exploratory data analysis

• Support the development, validation, and deployment of machine learning and statistical models

• Develop end-to-end processes that improve financial operations and reporting efficiency

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges and create data-driven solutions

• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences

• Create impactful visualizations to effectively communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Understand project and team scope within the context of broader strategic initiatives

Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to present financial analysis to management effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Working knowledge of financial management applications

• Experience with SAP, particularly Project Systems modules

• SAP S/4 conversion experience

• Strong data analysis capabilities using SQL, Python, and R

• Understanding of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms

• Data visualization and presentation skills

• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or related field

• CPA, CFA, or relevant professional certification preferred
