We produce a range of products including peanut butters, almond butters, cashew butters, pistachio-based spreads, and custom blended formulations. We work with a variety of customers, including Fortune 500 food brands, fast-growing CPG companies, and national foodservice operators. Our customers rely on us for manufacturing flexibility, quality consistency, speed to market, and the ability to tailor solutions to meet unique project needs. We support a wide range of market channels, from large-scale branded launches to ingredient supply for food manufacturers and operators nationwide.

Vör’s production systems are designed for scalability, high efficiency, and the ability to meet demanding customer standards. We operate filling lines capable of handling both large production runs and custom short runs, and our facility infrastructure is built to support rapid adjustments as customer needs evolve. Our approach combines hands-on problem solving with disciplined operational execution to meet aggressive timelines and volume targets.

We operate with a focus on action, ownership, and operational excellence. Our team values clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. We prioritize problem-solving over bureaucracy, working collaboratively across departments to meet customer needs without sacrificing quality or timelines. Individuals who thrive at Vör are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of operating in a fast-moving, disciplined environment where execution and results are the standard.

Position Overview:

The Inbound Supply Chain Manager will join the Supply Chain Department , responsible for managing all purchasing, inbound logistics, supplier relationships, and demand planning activities.

You will work directly under the Head of Supply Chain and collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Sales, and Finance to ensure that raw materials and packaging flow predictably into production operations with maximum efficiency and minimal disruption.

This role combines tactical purchasing execution with strategic forecasting and material planning. Success will be defined by the ability to maintain uninterrupted production readiness, optimize working capital tied up in inventory, and maintain clear, proactive communication across all operating teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies based on production requirements and forecasted demand.
  • Build, maintain, and continually refine material demand plans by analyzing sales forecasts, customer order patterns, production schedules, and historical usage data.
  • Develop rolling 90-day material requirement forecasts that align purchasing timing, vendor lead times, and production capacity.
  • Own the internal S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) coordination process for material requirements, partnering with Sales and Manufacturing to adjust forecasts as customer demand changes.
  • Track and adjust safety stock levels dynamically based on production schedules, order volatility, and supply chain risks.
  • Identify gaps or discrepancies between sales forecasts, production needs, and existing inventory coverage, and adjust purchasing plans proactively.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, including pricing, service levels, and lead time commitments.
  • Maintain supplier performance scorecards with a focus on on-time delivery, quality consistency, and responsiveness.
  • Manage inbound freight schedules to ensure materials arrive on time without excess inventory buildup.
  • Monitor and report on inventory turns, forecast accuracy, purchase price variances, and supplier performance metrics.

Department: Supply Chain

Reporting To: Head of Supply Chain

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manufacturing, Sales, Finance

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, materials planning, or demand planning roles.
  • Proven experience building and managing rolling forecasts and material requirement plans.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills, with ability to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain fundamentals: safety stock, MOQ optimization, inventory turnover metrics, and supplier risk management.
  • ERP system proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and experience with demand planning modules/tools.
  • Analytical thinker capable of synthesizing production, sales, and inventory data into actionable material purchasing strategies.
  • Background in food manufacturing, CPG production, or ingredient supply chain strongly preferred.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

  • Raw materials and packaging consistently arrive aligned to forecasted production requirements without overbuying.
  • Material shortages and last-minute expedite costs are minimized through proactive planning and supply visibility.
  • Supplier relationships are actively managed for performance and cost control.
  • Inventory levels balance working capital constraints while protecting production continuity.
  • Internal stakeholders have confidence in inbound material coverage and forecast visibility.
  • Forecast-to-actual production variance remains low and manageable.

Our Culture and How We Work:

  • We operate with urgency — timelines are met and challenges are addressed proactively.
  • We value ownership — team members are expected to independently solve problems and drive improvements.
  • We demand clarity — internal plans and forecasts must be precise, realistic, and updated as conditions evolve.
  • We collaborate tightly across departments to protect service to our customers while operating efficiently.
