Job Description

Company Overview:

Vör is a food ingredient and product manufacturer specializing in premium nut butters, nut-based products, and custom food solutions. We produce a range of products including peanut butters, almond butters, cashew butters, pistachio-based spreads, and custom blended formulations. Our manufacturing capabilities cover jarred retail products, bulk ingredient supply, and private label production.

We work with a variety of customers, including Fortune 500 food brands, fast-growing CPG companies, and national foodservice operators. Our customers rely on us for manufacturing flexibility, quality consistency, speed to market, and the ability to tailor solutions to meet unique project needs. We support a wide range of market channels, from large-scale branded launches to ingredient supply for food manufacturers and operators nationwide.

Vör’s production systems are designed for scalability, high efficiency, and the ability to meet demanding customer standards. We operate filling lines capable of handling both large production runs and custom short runs, and our facility infrastructure is built to support rapid adjustments as customer needs evolve. Our approach combines hands-on problem solving with disciplined operational execution to meet aggressive timelines and volume targets.

We operate with a focus on action, ownership, and operational excellence. Our team values clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. We prioritize problem-solving over bureaucracy, working collaboratively across departments to meet customer needs without sacrificing quality or timelines. Individuals who thrive at Vör are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of operating in a fast-moving, disciplined environment where execution and results are the standard.

Position Overview:

The Inventory Control Manager will join the Supply Chain Department , owning all inventory tracking, WIP (Work-In-Progress) material management, and real-time system accuracy across production operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory records are accurate, reliable, and actionable — directly supporting production readiness, customer fulfillment, and financial reporting accuracy. This role is essential to maintaining operational stability as production volumes scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories across warehouse and production areas.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly full inventory audits and reconcile variances against ERP system records.
  • Track WIP materials through every production stage, ensuring materials are properly consumed and output correctly recorded.
  • Maintain ERP inventory records in real-time, updating transactions for production usage, waste, movement, and completion.
  • Analyze inventory discrepancies and implement corrective action plans to address root causes.
  • Support inbound material staging and outbound finished goods staging coordination by maintaining accurate location tracking.
  • Develop inventory reporting tools for internal use, including real-time visibility dashboards for inventory aging, stock levels, and inventory accuracy performance.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leadership to align physical and system inventory counts for production scheduling.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external inventory audits and ensure full traceability is maintained.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory handling, WIP staging, and material flow optimization.

Department: Supply Chain

Reporting To: Head of Supply Chain

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Finance

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse control, or materials handling in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management modules (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent preferred).
  • Proven ability to perform cycle counts, manage inventory reconciliations, and maintain system data integrity.
  • Analytical skills to identify root causes of inventory variances and propose corrective actions.
  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline.
  • Familiarity with WIP material tracking and batch control in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Background in food manufacturing, CPG production, or ingredient management strongly preferred.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

  • Real-time inventory accuracy consistently exceeds 98%+ at all stages (raw material, WIP, and finished goods).
  • WIP material movements are accurately captured and reflected in ERP records.
  • Cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities are executed on schedule and with minimal adjustments.
  • Internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance) have reliable inventory data for production planning and financial reporting.
  • Inventory discrepancies are minimized through proactive controls, clear processes, and early identification of issues.

Our Culture and How We Work:

  • We operate with urgency — inventory records are updated and corrected immediately, not in batches.
  • We value ownership — the Inventory Control Lead fully owns the accuracy of all system and physical inventory.
  • We require clarity — documentation, reporting, and communication must be precise and up-to-date.
  • We collaborate across departments — ensuring inventory data supports the full operational and financial system.
