Texas Lawyers' Insurance Exchange (TLIE) is an Austin-based, member owned legal malpractice (professional liability) insurance carrier for lawyers and judges in the state of Texas. TLIE is seeking a professional liability underwriter to underwrite attorney and judge applicants in a hybrid capacity with mandatory in-office days in the Austin, Texas location.

Responsibilities:
TLIE's Underwriter will be responsible for:
1. Evaluation and recommendations as to acceptance or declination of new and renewal business applicants.
2. If accepted, determination of pricing and terms.
3. Evaluation and response to endorsement requests.
4. Assist policyholders with requests concerning their policies and any proposed changes thereto.
All of these responsibilities are performed in adherence with TLIE's underwriting guidelines, service standards and any company and department goals.
Salary Range : $60,000 - $80,000 with performance-based bonus opportunities.
