HIRING Clean Room Lab Tech! Medix Life Sciences is the fastest growing staffing organization specializing in Clinical Research and Life Sciences placements for all the major health systems and research organizations throughout the country. Medix is looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of lab experience in a GLP and/or GMP setting.

Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field;
• Minimum one year of laboratory environment experience preferred
• Experience working in an FDA regulated/GMP and/or ISO environment preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with computers and software programs including Microsoft Office products
• Strong, proven organizational skills; the ability to work independently; and record keeping experience are necessary

Position Summary: Location: Westmont, IL 60559 Pay: 22-24/hr depending on experience Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Position Description:

• Follow established procedures to prepare and characterize samples using specialized techniques and tools within a cleanroom environment.
• Follow established procedures to prepare special samples per client procedures and documentation requirements with appropriate monitoring for safety and security.
• Prepare and stock laboratory supplies required in the cleanroom laboratories. Ensure equipment and instruments are maintained per established procedures and ISO 14644 standard in order to provide reliable, defensible, and scientifically sound results.
• Work with the procurement specialist to order laboratory and cleanroom supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Perform general laboratory housekeeping and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Maintain professionalism; a respectful, positive attitude; and effective communication with clients and colleagues at all times.
• Identify opportunities and advise management about possible improvements in laboratory efficiency and operations.
• Perform all duties in compliance with applicable MA QMS, client and regulatory requirements, making recommendations for continuous improvement as appropriate.
