We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** ABSMC-Ashby Campus **Position Overview:** - The Lactation Consultant is responsible for providing lactation consultation and education for breastfeeding mothers at Alta Bates Medical Center regardless of age, race, religion, ability, and economic or social status. - The Lactation Consultant has excellent assessment and implementation skills to assist the breastfeeding mother attain her individual goals. **Job Description** : Job Description **EDUCATION** Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** RN-Registered Nurse of California Required BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Required CLE-Certified Lactation Educator upon hire Required IBCLC-International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, within 2 years of employment Required **EXPERIENCE** Minimum of two years experience in perinatal nursing or perinatal education Preferred. Minimum two years experience counseling breastfeeding women Preferred. Pay Range is $86.68 to $114.41 / hour _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
