Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting production and warehouse operations by accurately receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods. This role ensures compliance with medical device quality system regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company procedures while maintaining an organized and efficient material flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately label, store, and issue materials to production areas according to established procedures.
  • Pick, kit, and stage parts and consumables for manufacturing orders and production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Package and prepare finished goods for shipment in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper handling of controlled, sterile, and sensitive medical device materials.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required).
  • Assist with warehouse organization, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, FDA, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
  • 2+ years of material handling, warehouse, or inventory control experience (medical device or regulated industry preferred).
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with GMP/QSR, ISO 13485, or other regulated industry standards is a plus.
