Role Purpose
Procurement Merchandisers are the key role between buyers and our various sales channels. This role owns product placement and margin in assigned sales channels. Additionally, this role supports the creation of new marketing and merchandising opportunities across sales tools (ecommerce, print media, digital assets, etc.), and works to analyze and improve existing programs.
Key Responsibilities
•
Collaborate with executives, marketers, and call center team to appropriate price sales, deals and promotions in a way that is both attractive to customers and provides the required margin to the organization.

Work with teams in sell through channels to identify new marketing/merchandising programs and work with them to develop and design these programs.
•
Getting to know the customer base and understanding their motivation and sales drivers.
•
Review and analyze merchandising activities, report to vendor partners, and work to identify key successes or opportunities for improvement.
•
Work with buyers and vendors to facilitate the planning of merchandising opportunities through various marketing channels.
•
Work with marketing to ensure proper placement of products on websites, in emails, and in catalogs to ensure that the space is optimized for sales and movement of priority.
•
Researching and monitoring industry trends and consumer behavior to anticipate demand and changes in buying patterns.
•
Using prior sales data, make recommendations to buyers and vendors on PO quantities related to merchandising efforts.
•
Reviewing competitors, including pricing, profit, and marketing, and making recommendations for internal changes.
Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required).
•
Strong business and project management skills needed – a keen ability to negotiate with vendors.
•
Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
•
Ability to manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
•
Teamwork, communication, and influencing skills.
•
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Forecasting.
•
2 plus years of Merchandising or Marketing experience preferred.
