Job Description

Since 2009, Wesco Exteriors, Inc. has served commercial and multifamily clients in new construction projects and major renovation/repairs. We are a family owned and operated company and have built a close, tight-knit team whose talents and core values align with our high standards. We have been in constant growth for over a decade and are now seeking to add an additional Construction Project Manager to our team. Associate will be responsible for all aspects of project management from estimation to job completion and must have a minimum of five years previous experience in this position. Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Candidate must have a valid NC Drivers License with good driving record, be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening, and have favorable references. 

This role is a job site level position at multiple sites and candidates must have vast knowledge regarding siding/gutter/roofing/window/door installation and interior renovations and be able to oversee installers. Candidates must be able to identify installation errors and ensure that corrections are made as needed.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Proficient in reviewing and understanding drawings, identify potential missing/mislabeled material. Rectify based on industry standard and/or code and recommend change orders prior to start of job.
  • Manage construction contract drafts, obtain necessary permits, and maintain necessary records.
  • Procure and coordinate material delivery and ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines. Create purchase orders and approve project invoices.
  • Proactively monitor progress of projects via regular site visits and daily management. Coordinate and motivate subcontractors personnel to ensure continuous productivity. Create and continuously update schedules and daily job status reports to achieve completion dates.
  • Review projects daily to ensure quality construction standards exist and project remains within estimated budget for labor and materials.
  • Uphold company standards and foster communication to guarantee that client needs are efficiently met. Submit client requested project change orders with-in a timely manner. 
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all OSHA standards to meet safety and building regulations.
  • Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, architects, and vendors.
  • Manage project close-outs including final walks and punch-list and providing warranty documentation. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Associates, Vocational Degree in Construction Management or related subject matter/Equal Experience
  • Five Years of Construction Project Management
  • Proficient with computer programs including, but not limited to PlanSwift, ProCore, Xactimate, Email and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. 
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Location:

  • Home office is located in Jamestown, NC and candidate must be local or planning to relocate. Associate will travel to multiple on-site locations including, but not limited to NC, SC, VA and TN. Travel is required.
