Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Oceanside, CA 92056

Position Type: Direct Hire | 100% Onsite

Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000 annually, Depending on Experience (DOE)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager with deep industry experience in manufacturing, production, or construction management—preferably within retail fixtures or millwork. This leadership role is essential in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability, strategic thinking, and precision are key. The ideal candidate excels at managing shifting schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving internal efficiencies to meet aggressive project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dynamic Operations Management: Navigate and manage rapidly shifting project scopes, schedules, and timelines with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Oversee and continuously refine multi-shift production schedules, ensuring optimal resource deployment and timely delivery.
  • Workflow & Process Optimization: Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to streamline internal operations, reduce waste, and drive efficiency.
  • Supplier & Outsourcing Coordination: Manage partnerships with domestic and international suppliers, including oversight of outsourced manufacturing operations.
  • Inventory & Materials Management: Apply Just-in-Time (JIT) strategies to control inventory flow, reduce excess, and align supply with real-time production needs.
  • Automation & System Enhancement: Identify and implement automation opportunities (e.g., CNC programming, assembly line enhancements) to boost throughput.
  • Capacity & Space Planning: Evaluate current and future production capacity needs, aligning resources and facility layout to support growing demand.
  • Permit & Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate permit acquisitions and ensure ongoing adherence to local, state, and industry regulations.
  • Equipment Oversight: Manage equipment maintenance schedules and recommend strategic capital investments to support production goals.
  • Quality Management: Drive quality assurance protocols, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to uphold high performance standards.
  • Cost Control & Budget Management: Monitor operating budgets and identify areas for cost savings without sacrificing operational excellence.
  • KPI Tracking & Reporting: Leverage ERP and data analysis tools to generate actionable reports and make strategic, data-backed decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, promoting a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments (sales, design, engineering, graphics, purchasing) to ensure seamless project execution.

Minimum Must Have Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or construction management, preferably in retail fixtures or millwork
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction Management, or similar)
  • Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and agile production systems
  • Advanced experience with ERP systems and KPI-driven decision-making
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex production environments and international supplier networks
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing operations
