Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Werum PAS-X Engineer to support the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of PAS-X MES solutions across pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PAS-X V2/V3, strong knowledge of GMP regulations, and a background in integrating MES with ERP and automation systems.

In this role, you will:

• Configure and deploy Werum PAS-X MES solutions including EBR (Electronic Batch Records) and MBR (Master Batch Record) modeling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, IT, automation, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications
• Lead or support PAS-X upgrades, validation, and integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP via IDOC/SAP PI)
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulatory standards throughout the MES lifecycle
• Troubleshoot and resolve MES-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in system testing (IQ/OQ/PQ), documentation, and training activities.
• Support ongoing operations and enhancements in a validated manufacturing environment.

What you need to have to be considered

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10 years of experience with Werum PAS-X MES in a regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and batch execution workflows.
• Experience with PAS-X 3.2.5 or later versions preferred
• Familiarity with integration technologies (e.g., SAP, DeltaV, SCADA, OPC).
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other MES platforms (e.g., Rockwell PMX, Siemens OpCenter, AspenTech).
• Knowledge of Tulip, Mendix, or other low-code platforms for MES extensions
• Agile project delivery experience and familiarity with tools like JIRA

Salary and Other Compensation :

Applications will be accepted until July 28th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
