Project Manager-Workday, Reston, VA ($55-70/hr)

Immediate need for a Project Manager with a multibillion-dollar leader in their industry, located in Reston, VA. This is a hybrid role (1-2 days onsite), that is paying $55-70/hr.

Job Description:

Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Payroll. The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the project on time, within budget, and in aligment with business objectives. The PM will work closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors.

• Lead and manage all phases of the payroll implementation project, from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into project objectives.
• Oversee system testing, data migration, user acceptance testing, and training activities
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system implementation problems and overall system performance.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure successful system integration with timekeeping, benefits systems, and vendors.
• Write and prepare system user documentation, instructional guides, reference materials, and system plans and manuals.
• Develop post-implementation support plans and conduct project closeout activities, including lessons learned.

Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of technical project management experience and strong commitment to meeting deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
• Extensive experience in planning and executing a business system implementation with Workday
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• PMP certification
• Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Change management experience.
