Job Description

• Teach courses within the Psychology curriculum including, but are not limited to, Introduction to Learning, Sensation and Perception, Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and/or other courses within the candidate’s area of specialty that complement the Psychology curriculum.
• Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
• Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
• Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
• Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
• Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
• Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.

Minimum Qualifications

• Earned doctorate degree in Psychology (Ph.D., ABDs may be considered), specializing within the broadly defined field of Neuro- or Biopsychology.
• Expertise and training sufficient to teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Learning, Sensation and Perception, Introductory Psychology, Statistics and/or other courses that complement the Psychology curriculum.
• Record of commitment to conducting research.

Preferred Qualification

• Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
• Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level.
• Ability to teach a variety of courses to serve the Psychology curriculum and department needs.]
