Job Description

Quality Assurance Inspector for a manufacturing company located in Costa Mesa. Paying $24.00 Hourly Evaluation to hire.

Schedule is 1st Shift 7am-3pm Mon-Fri.

Job overview:

The QA Inspector is responsible for all aspects of quality assurance on a production shift, including, but not limited to, first piece inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, receiving inspection, nonconforming product/process reporting, rework inspection, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Duties Include:

• Perform any inspection as required: First Piece, In-Process, Final, Rework, and Receiving Inspections.
• Perform all visual, mechanical, and physical inspections necessary to verify conformance to established quality standards.
• Perform mechanical inspections using the JGP-provided tools, but not limited to; micrometer, caliper, height gage, drop micrometer, vision measuring system, microscope, gage blocks, pin gages, and custom gages.
• Perform technical investigations of product non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Able to distinguish and identify colors, shapes, and details of objects at a given distance.
• Identify and report non-conforming products/ processes and create MRB as directed by QMS
• Complete all reports related to inspections and ensure electronic data is saved/entered as directed by QMS System.
• Responsible for the inspection of product manufactured in molding, assembly, cleanroom, and rework areas.
• Responsible for the inspection of all outside processes such as painting, printing, and machined components.
• Responsible for the inspection of all purchased components, raw materials and customer supplied product.
• Recommend corrective actions necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications and standards.
• Assist with the preparation of First Article Reports, validation protocols, and other quality-related projects as directed.
• Assist with the periodic calibration requirements of measurement equipment
• Work with production, assembly, and planning departments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Observe and enforce ISO 9001 / AS9100 /  ISO 13485 Quality System Procedures.

Skills:

-Must be able to read and write English

-Have a good working knowledge of quality procedures and associated documentation

- Able to read and interpret drawing specifications

 -Must be able to measure and accurately determine true positioning. 

-Must have experience with common measurement methods, including hand-tools and vision systems

-Able to use common Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word etc.)
