Robotics Engineering Lead

What you'll do:

• Spearhead technical projects with clients and partners, from initial consultations and proposal creation to developing tailored robotics service offerings.
• Mentor and inspire our robotics team, aligning individual goals with company objectives and current technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product management to integrate architectures and solutions into a cohesive product roadmap, proactively identifying risks and driving project success.
• Ensure top-tier quality in all features and deliverables across our product line.
• Define, analyze, and review software requirements to meet evolving customer needs and exceed system quality and performance standards.
• Architect software and interfaces, implementing functionality, often using a model-based approach.
• Partner with other engineering disciplines to plan and develop systems, ensuring seamless software and hardware performance and compatibility.

What you'll need:

• BS/MS in controls engineering, robotics, computer science, or related fields.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in robotics and related applications, including 3+ years in controls software development.
• Deep understanding of control systems development, including classical and modern control theory, feedback control, state estimation, system identification, and sensor fusion.
• Proven experience in C++/Python programming, software design, and architecture, with a track record of successful project completion.
• Solid grasp of design patterns, object-oriented programming, concurrency, and real-time programming.
• Hands-on experience developing, simulating, and deploying solutions on mobile robots and robotic arms.
• Expertise in ROS (Robot Operating System), including ROS2 Control and MoveIt.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in path planning algorithms, SLAM, and verification/validation of autonomous behaviors.
