Sales Representative

Reports To: Team Leader

Position Summary

As a Sales Representative, your primary responsibility is to drive the sales and distribution of Treu House of Munch, Inc. products within your assigned territory. This role requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining strong relationships with retail partners, ensuring product visibility, and executing strategic sales initiatives. Success in this position is measured by your ability to achieve sales goals through selling, merchandising, servicing, promoting, and fostering customer engagement.

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate exceptional salesmanship, technical knowledge, and professionalism while providing outstanding customer service. Your efforts will directly contribute to the company’s success and the continued growth of our brand.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular sales calls and maintain proper visit frequency in assigned accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including lost, inactive, or potential new accounts.
  • Drive product distribution, ensuring all Treu House of Munch, Inc. products are available and well-positioned.
  • Communicate pricing, promotions, and product details effectively to retailers.
  • Conduct annual business reviews with customers to evaluate performance and growth opportunities.

Merchandising & Product Placement:

  • Maximize product visibility by securing optimal selling positions in retail locations, including primary displays and coolers.
  • Execute permanent, temporary, and promotional secondary displays.
  • Maintain fully stocked and well-organized retail shelves and coolers.
  • Ensure all accounts are properly merchandised with necessary point-of-sale (P.O.S.) materials.
  • Monitor and ensure product freshness by tracking inventory and stock rotation.

Sales Strategy & Market Insights:

  • Utilize Trade Marketing POCM (Point of Connection Marketing) to enhance product appeal in individual accounts.
  • Track and measure supplier and competitor activity using the company’s Mobility software program.
  • Sell and execute on-premise promotions, specials, and incentives.
  • Assist in securing draught accounts and ensure proper draught system handling.
  • Analyze sales budgets and objectives, aligning efforts to meet and exceed company targets.

Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records.
  • Submit all required paperwork, including expense accounts, itineraries, and sales reports, in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to a structured sales process to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Report all competitive activity to management in a clear and timely manner.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and industry seminars to enhance knowledge and performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • A college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional industry knowledge and sales aptitude are highly valued.

Experience:

  • Experience in beer, soft drinks, or beverage distribution is preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in technology, including handheld computers and sales tracking software.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to operate a calculator and interpret code dates.
  • Technical knowledge of draught systems and handling.
  • Ability to use power tools (e.g., hand drills) when necessary.
