Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Sanitation Worker to join our team at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. This position will involve working at a client site weekly, please note that training and monthly meetings will be conducted at our office in Concord. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our client’s dumpster enclosures are kept clean and well-maintained on a daily basis. This role involves handling waste management tasks, maintaining cleanliness in the enclosure areas, and coordinating with our Operations Team for bulk item pickups.

Location: Hayward, CA

Hours: Part Time (15-30 hours) Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: $25/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Dumpster Management: Move dumpsters from the enclosures to the trash compactor using a cart. Ensure that all dumpsters are emptied and refilled as necessary.
• Cleaning: Regularly clean the dumpster enclosure areas, removing all loose trash or debris to maintain a clutter-free environment.
• Bulk Item Coordination: Identify and report any bulk item pickup needs to our Operations Team, coordinating with them to arrange for dump truck services.
• Task Reporting: Document and report completed tasks and any maintenance issues or irregularities encountered during the workday.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to local regulations and company policies regarding waste management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in waste management, facilities maintenance, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to handle physical tasks, ability to independently stay on task, and basic reporting skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
• Communication: Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with dispatch and team members.
