This position involves, but is not limited to, preparing shipments, maintaining shipping supplies inventory, and completing inspection forms to ensure the quality and condition of outgoing shipments. Taking shipment to FedEx when necessary. Responsibilities: Preparing Shipping Boxes: Assemble shipping boxes according to product specifications. Ship products. Ensure all items are properly protected to prevent damage during transit. Tracking Shipping Supplies Inventory: Monitor and maintain an organized inventory of shipping supplies such as boxes, packaging materials, labels, tapes, and dry ice. Receive and verify shipments of new supplies. Filling Out Inspection Forms: Examine products for quality and accuracy before packaging. Fill out inspection forms or checklists to document the condition and accuracy of each item being shipped. Address any discrepancies or issues with products identified during inspection and communicate them to the Quality Control Department. Labeling and Documenting: Apply shipping labels and other required documentation to each package accurately. Ensure that all required shipping information, including recipient addresses and tracking numbers, properly match the orders. Maintaining Clean and Organized Work Area: Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and free from hazards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Dispose of packaging materials and waste responsibly. Purchasing Compile requests for materials Prepare purchase orders Keep track of purchases and supplies Handle inquiries about orders Respond to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations Monitor inventory minimum thresholds Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Strong sense of time organization and urgency Able to work independently and within a team Capable to drive to FedEx at times to drop off shipments
