POSTION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, thoughtful, and highly organized professional to join our Lateral Partner Recruiting and Integration team. This role supports the process of identifying, hiring, and welcoming new lateral partners and other senior lawyers to the firm. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to make complex processes run smoothly — and who takes pride in delivering a professional, respectful, and well-coordinated experience for others. You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team that values mutual respect, clear communication, and shared responsibility. This role requires strong client-service instincts, excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of professionalism.

From interview scheduling to onboarding logistics to cross-department coordination, you’ll help ensure that every candidate and new hire feels well cared for and that no detail falls through the cracks. The role involves high-level administrative support, regular collaboration with internal departments, and occasional direct interaction with partner candidates and firm leadership.

If you’re looking to deepen your experience in legal recruiting, professional development, or law firm administration — and you enjoy a role that combines task execution with people-centered service — we’d love to hear from you.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate all aspects of the lateral partner recruiting process, including scheduling interviews, preparing materials, tracking feedback, and updating candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for lateral candidates throughout the process, ensuring timely communication and a smooth overall experience.
  • Support the development and execution of integration plans for new partners and senior lawyers, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring follow-up on key steps.
  • Liaise with internal departments — including Marketing, IT, Finance, and Practice Groups — to coordinate onboarding needs and share relevant information.
  • Maintain accurate tracking documents, reports, and checklists related to recruiting and integration.
  • Help prepare updates, materials, and status reports for use by internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on prospective lateral candidates and market trends as needed.
  • Contribute to broader projects related to lateral growth and attorney integration.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Support team efforts on special projects and programs, including coaching initiatives and integration training sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Approximately five years of professional experience, preferably in the legal industry or a professional services setting. Experience in law firm recruiting, development, or HR is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Comfort interacting with senior professionals and maintaining confidentiality.
  • High degree of reliability, follow-through, and service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., viRecruit), Zoom, Teams, and Asana is helpful.

Additional Duties

This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the primary duties and responsibilities for the position. It is not an exhaustive list of all tasks or responsibilities that may be assigned. The role may include additional duties, specialized projects, and other tasks as required. The firm reserves the right to modify or adjust the responsibilities to meet business needs.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including the ability to commute to the office as required on designated in-office days based on the position. The firm is committed to providing reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for qualified individuals with disabilities.
