We’re looking for a proactive, creative, and purpose-driven  Content & Marketing Intern to join our growing team at 821 Tennis and the  Athlete Wellness Collective (AWC)— two bold brands reshaping how sport is experienced and expressed through media, performance, and community.

This isn’t your typical internship. You’ll work directly with the founder, support brand storytelling across platforms, and help shape the voice and growth of a mission-driven movement. 821 Tennis is a lifestyle-driven tennis and wellness company based in Miami, reimagining what the tennis experience can be. From adult rec leagues and cultural pop-up events to youth development and high-performance coaching, we’re building community and elevating the sport through movement, music, and meaning.

Athlete Wellness Collective (AWC)is a global media and wellness hub built for athletes, artists, and creatives. We focus on bridging the gap between performance and wellbeing through storytelling, events, and educational content.

Mission : To shift the paradigm of what it means to be a thriving athlete — mentally, physically, emotionally, and culturally.

Role Description:

  • Manage and schedule social media content for 821 Tennis & AWC across Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Support with email marketing & newsletter creation via Flodesk, Mailchimp or Klaviyo
  • Repurpose long-form content (interviews, blogs, podcasts) into digestible posts, carousels, and articles
  • Draft and publish LinkedIn articles and blog posts aligned with each brand's voice
  • Assist in community engagement, influencer outreach, and growth strategies
  • Work with founder on strategic content planning and storytelling themes
  • Participate in events and campaigns (virtually or in person, if local)
  • Report on content performance and suggest new formats or ideas

Ideal Candidate:

  • Based in Miami or open to remote work with strong self-management skills
  • Excited about sports, wellness, creativity, and building something meaningful from the ground up
  • Confident writing captions, blogs, or newsletters in a brand voice
  • Comfortable using Canva, Google Docs, Instagram, and basic email tools
  • Passionate about digital storytelling, community building, and content that inspires
  • A quick learner with a can-do attitude and eye for detail
  • Bonus: interested in media, journalism, design, tennis, or wellness

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience in sports editorial or marketing is a plus
  • Knowledge or interest in tennis, fitness, or wellness
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

Internship Details

  • Part-time (Flexible, approx. 15–20 hours/week)
  • Remote-friendly, with optional on-site opportunities if based in Miami
  • Unpaid , but we cover local travel & meals when attending events
  • Start date: Rolling — ideally ASAP
  • Duration: 3–6 months, with option to grow into paid role

This role is unpaid and aimed towards college undergraduates or master students in  journalism, marketing, or communications.
