Job Description –Designer/Surface/Pattern Design/Graphic Artist

Job Summary

Custom Wallcovering Graphic Artist / Designer - Join our production team specializing in custom wallcovering design. This roll involves using Photoshop and other digital programs to create custom wallcoverings based on client specifications, as well as recoloring, rescaling, and panel mapping existing patterns. You will create print ready art files for our production team and images for our clients, as well as producing samples and marketing materials.

Responsibilities

· Create Art and or Customization of Existing patterns for print production

· Creative input and brainstorming

· Owning project initiatives to ensure execution in an effective and timely manner

· Art tasks such as room settings, panel production, reoloring

· Sourcing design elements from our existing library, Shutterstock, and other creative commons resources, as

well as drawing digitally to create unique designs

· Art File Organization (VERY IMPORTANT)

· Sample and Custom Strike-off creation and management

Qualifications

WILL REQUIRE 4 Years of surface/pattern design

· 3 years of work experience in a professional setting

· College Graduate and have Degree in Graphic Design

· Highest Level skill on Adobe programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop to create digital graphics

· Good time management and problem solving skills

· Strong knowledge of fine art principles

· Able to work and meet tight deadlines and project check points

· Experience in color-matching

· Detail Oriented

· Keep and maintain lists - as well as the ability to prioritize and work that list

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, production staff, and designers - communication is key to our success

· Strong teamwork skills

· Very strong organizational skills

· Be professional

· Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook (email).

· Experience in Asana is beneficial

Experience - REQUIRED

· Adobe Photoshop (5+ years) EXPERT - ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT

· Adobe Illustrator (3+ years)

· Photo Manipulation (3+ years)

· Microsoft Office (2+ Years)

· Professional Experience (2+ Years)
