Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Hands-on Tech Lead Developer to lead and manage a growing software development team. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with a deep understanding of software architecture, modern development practices, and a passion for delivering high-impact software solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with C-level executives and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, driving best practices and high-quality software development.
• Software Development: Develop and manage logistics, eCommerce/portal applications, and COTS software customizations.
• Technology Transition: Support the transition from PHP and NetSuite to Python and Node.js .
• Architecture & Integration: Design scalable architectures, APIs, microservices, and integrations with third-party systems.
• Project Management: Oversee Agile and Waterfall development methodologies to ensure on-time and high-quality project delivery.
• Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI DSS, and other industry standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with C-level executives, product managers, and business stakeholders to align technology strategies with business goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role .
• Proven experience in leading and scaling software development teams.
• Strong expertise in Python, Node.js, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Hands-on engineering skills, including writing queries, debugging, and reviewing code.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Background in eCommerce, payment gateway integrations (Square, Stripe, CyberSource), and logistics applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or 503B compounding industries.
• Knowledge of PHI (Protected Health Information) security and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jira, Bitbucket, React, FastAPI, TypeScript, and SQL.
