Job Title: Business Analyst - III

Location: Richmond, VA 23219

Duration: 6+ months

Qualifications:

Communications:

Working Conditions: Will require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

Hours of Work: May require extended work hours. Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/Master's Degree may be preferred with 10+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides research and analysis of technical data and problems of varying complexity in order to develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to technical operations.
  • Provides guidance in identifying, evaluating, and developing processes and procedures that are effective and meet requirements.
  • Provides reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues, and management
  • Participates in cross-functional linked teams to address technical or systems issues. Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices. Advanced level position is recognized as an advanced contributor and subject matter expert in field.

1) Performs complex analysis of major and critical business issues and recommends and implements sustainable solutions utilizing established methodology and tools within technology areas.

2) Works with the clients and other resources to assess current capabilities, identify the high-level customer needs. Recommends and implements business process improvements and sustainable solutions within technology areas.

3) Proactively reviews, compiles, and analyzes detailed and complex statistics and data for major and critical business issues. Provides leadership and collaboration in completing analysis, information or process mapping, and/or alignment of the business and related areas. Evaluates root cause and effect into solutions regularly.

4) Leads process improvement and solution discussions and presents outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management within technology areas.

5) Leads advanced level development and design of new business processes and the elaboration and updating of existing business processes.

6) Acts a key participant in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within technology areas.

7) Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge: Advanced knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures, and technologies.
