Required Skills & Experience
MUST HAVES:
• One year of experience in a preschool/ day care, (ages 3 to 5) classroom.
• An associate, bachelor, or advanced degree in a related field with coursework equivalent (18 credits) to a major relating to ECE and experience teaching preschool children (WILL NEED TO PROVIDE TRANSCRIPTS)
• Experience adapting curriculum to meet the needs of all children, including at-risk, special needs, and culturally diverse populations.
• The ability to use sound judgement to make well thought-out and informed decisions, the ability to apply knowledge and understanding, and use critical thinking skills to problem solve situations that involve several variables.
• Must be able to pass background test/ drug test and Federal fingerprinting have a valid driver’s license.
• *Will approve unemployment during Summer

Day to Day:

The day to day will consist of planning and implementing learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation, use of assessment, and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
