Works as a key part of the product development team assisting in the execution of engineering solutions that meet or exceed the established product requirements.
Designs microprocessor-based systems including electronic hardware, software and analog and digital input and output circuits.
Collaborates with and advises engineers and designers from client companies.
Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
Prepares product or system layout, detailed drawings, and schematics under supervision from senior engineering staff.
Builds prototype products or systems.
Troubleshoots systems, hardware, and software working individually and in teams.
Compiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to propose performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product.
Performs testing, gathers & analyzes test data to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
Writes, executes and documents design verification and validation tests.
Participate in design reviews, ensuring product requirements are met, engineering intent is maintained, and risks are mitigated prior to release for tooling and production.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management to meet production schedule.
BS in Mechatronics, Electronic with 5+ years in PCB/PCBA design and manufacturing
Certified or trained on IPC standard.
Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop processes from specification to production.
Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team members.
Demonstrated ability to develop and drive innovative solutions into processes and products.
Understanding of DFM, medical device design control / quality systems and the product development process (PLCP).
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
