Job Description

Monument company is seeking a self-motivated, customer-oriented Monument Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism. You must be a compassionate person who can confidently interact with clients over the phone, email or in person. A willingness to work with grieving families and provide an understanding of their needs is necessary. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary to perform well in this position. Knowledge of memorial products and granite materials/application a plus. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A suitable candidate would have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, as well as possessing a kind and welcoming nature
  • An outstanding candidate will have 3-5 years in Monument sales and customer service, or funeral home and/or cemetery experience.
  • Candidate must possess a solid ability to listen and to create solutions to client requests
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Design skills a plus but not required (Gerber Omega, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelors degree a plus.

The Monument Sales Assistant position is a full-time in-office position, 40 hours a week. This position reports to the owner and the office manager.

The core skills required for this position are solid listening and communication skills, ability to use a ruler and apply basic math concepts. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail as it pertains to digital and written correspondence.

The position’s essential, daily job functions and performance objectives are outlined below:

  1. Provides administrative support to the Office Sales Manager
  2. Communicating with potential client leads
  3. Identifying and accurately recording client needs and expectations
  4. Knowledge and application of company’s services and product offerings
  5. Consistently communicating the company’s branding to the public
  6. Accurately providing quotes, examples, and using sales tools to assist with closing client projects
  7. Managing administrative tasks during the project cycle

DAILY ADMINISTRATIVE JOB FUNCTIONS:

o Answering the office phones and transferring calls

o Performing various administrative tasks related to the sales & production cycle

PERFORMANCE EVALUATED ON FOLLOWING PARAMETERS:

1. Clear communication with clients of company’s branding, products, and services

2. Accurate and professional in-person, phone, and email communications

3. Consistently following the office procedures

4. Applying product knowledge when communicating with clients

Salary and Benefits:

· $41,600 - $62,400 commensurate on experience

· Paid Holidays
