Position Overview

We’re looking for an Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Oklahoma City. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about youth sports, and enjoys taking ownership of live event operations. You’ll play a vital role in planning, executing, and improving our basketball events nationwide, ensuring an exceptional experience for athletes, coaches, and partners. This is a high-trust, high-impact position with opportunities to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Event Execution & Coordination

  • Lead logistical planning and day-of execution for NXTPRO basketball events across the country
  • Oversee registration, team check-in, event flow, and onsite coordination
  • Ensure every event is organized, efficient, and enjoyable for all attendees

Partner & Sponsor Activation

  • Collaborate with PUMA and other key partners to bring brand activations to life
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors, sponsors, and event stakeholders

Operational & Logistical Support

  • Manage equipment and resource readiness before, during, and after events
  • Act as the main point of contact onsite for staff, teams, and partners
  • Resolve issues in real-time with confidence and poise

Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Assist with budgeting, documentation, vendor contracts, and compliance
  • Track and report key event data, providing insights for future improvements

Innovation & Initiative

  • Bring fresh operational ideas to the table to improve the overall athlete and attendee experience
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively solve problems before they impact performance

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in event operations, sports management, or logistics
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Asana, and CRM/event platforms (e.g., Square, HubSpot)
  • Willingness to travel ~40% of the year, including weekends
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Oklahoma City, OK

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Planning, Business, or a related field
  • Previous experience in AAU basketball or youth sports
  • Proven track record managing logistics for large-scale events
