Utilities Control Room Operator

Location: North Chicago, IL – Onsite

Contract: 6+ months contract duration with the potential to go from contract to hire for the right candidate

Shift: 3rd Shift full-time, 7PM – 7AM, 4 days,

Automated Systems, Inc. is looking for a Utilities Control Room Operator for a 6+ month contract with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in North Chicago, IL. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations by monitoring critical utility infrastructure and overseeing plant utilities, including water, steam, compressed air, liquid nitrogen, electrical power, and HVAC systems. Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor equipment for performance and alarm conditions
• Troubleshoot problems with utilities and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues
• Operate and participate in startup, maintenance, and shutdown of utility equipment
• Perform all necessary quality checks
• Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, preferred education - technical diploma, associate degree, or military training
• Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment preferred
• Mechanical/technical experience in manufacturing or related fields preferred
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated industries.
• Military experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and wearing PPE
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods
